When we were younger, we probably hardly thought about our breasts and their shape and how they sat. Fast forward 40 or so years and our breasts may have changed in many ways from our youth. They might be bigger, saggier, smaller or stretched.

If you want to improve your bust line, you don’t have to resort to expensive surgery to perk up your chest – there are a number of exercises, remedies, masks and massages you can do to lift them up.

Here’s some of our favourite ways to get your best breasts:

1. Swinging arms exercise

Stand straight with your arms by your side. Swing both arms in the clockwise direction for about 10-15 counts. Take a small break (about 5 seconds) and swing your arms in the anticlockwise direction next for about 10-15 counts. Repeat this exercise for about 10 minutes at regular intervals throughout the day to effectively increase your breast size in a short span of time.

2. Chest press

Lie down flat on your back on the floor. Hold a dumbbell in each hand (about 1kg or 2kg is fine). Your hands should be placed above your chest. Extend your arms upwards until they are straight. Hold this position for 10 counts and then lower your arms back down slowly until they nearly touch your chest. Hold this position for 10 counts and repeat three times.

3. Breast massage

As you might know, massaging breasts increases blood circulation in them. To do so, simply use any natural massage oil. Remember to warm this oil slightly before using and do some circular movements with your palms.

4. Eat bananas

If you wish to perk up your breasts, consider bananas. They’re high in fat and have nutrients that encourage stimulation of your hormones.

5. Drink lots of water

Keeping your body well hydrated is most essential in order to maintain healthy tissues and organs. Water helps flush out the toxins from your body and helps maintain the health of the breast tissue as well.

6. Ginger

In many traditional medicines, ginger is used to reduce breast size. It increases the body’s metabolic rate to help burn more fat.

7. Green tea

Green tea is also effective in aiding weight loss and reducing breast size. The catechins found in green tea help to promote weight loss by stimulating the body to burn calories and decreasing body fat.

8. Egg whites

Egg whites will help you get firm breasts and tighten the chest area to make your breasts look smaller. Beat the white of one egg thoroughly into a smooth cream-like texture. Apply this paste on the bottom of the breasts and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing. It will tighten up your skin for a smoother appearance.

9. Incorrectly sized bras

If you’re wearing the wrong size bra, it can make your breasts sag quickly, as does going without a bra completely. Simply have your bra fitted professionally, and if you need an extra lift, look for maximising bras.

10. Hot and cold water therapy

The next time you’re in the shower, switch the temperature of water from hot to cool. Two minutes of showering under hot water. Then one minute of showering under cool (or even cold if you can take it) water and massage your breasts as you do it to improve blood flow to your breast tissues.
