This album, released on May 8 in 1970, was the twelfth and final studio album ever recorded by this amazing and internationally appreciated band.   Shortly after the group announced their break-up. 

“Let it Be” was recorded by the Beatles, before the release of Abbey Road, but it was released after this album.  

Despite a mixed review from Rolling Stone magazine at the time of its release, the album was ranked number 86 in the magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2003
