Flashback: This 1976 song was edited because it was “too suggestive” for radio!

With delicately suggestive lyrics, sung by his girlfriend at the time, this single made it to number one on the 13th November in 1976.

The track from his album, A night on the town, features lyrics such as “You’d be a fool to stop this tide, Spread your wings and let me come inside”, causing enough public uproar to have another version recorded for radio playing.

This artist is Rod Stewart and the hit is “Tonights the Night”. Have a listen to this live performance from 1977 and enjoy the flashback!
