Today, 1977 this song was written and recorded by Eric Clapton.  The song was included on his album Slowhand.  Written about his wife at the time, Pattie Boyd, who was previously married to his best friend, Beatle George Harrison.

Despite it only being a modest hit, reaching #16 in the popular charts, it chronicles one of their finer relationship moments and is probably best known throughout the world as an all time great “slow dance” song.
