Sara Zelenak named as second Australian killed in London terror attack

London Bridge was targeted in a terror attack on June 3.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has confirmed two Australians were killed during Saturday’s terror attack on London Bridge and Borough Market.

The death of South Australian nurse Kirsty Boden was confirmed last night by members of Kirsty’s family and authorities have now named Brisbane woman Sara Zelenak as the second victim.

Sara worked as an au pair in London, and was separated from her friend during the terror attack on Saturday night.

A family member spoke to the media yesterday, praising 21-year-old Sara for being an “absolutely beautiful” young woman who “doesn’t do anything wrong”.

Earlier, her stepfather, Mark Wallace, told the media, “I’ve contacted every hospital in London but they can’t give out patient details or even tell us if she has been admitted.”

Two other Australians were injured in the terror attack, with a Darwin man stabbed in the face and a Brisbane women slashed across the throat.

Seven people were killed and 48 injured in the frenzied attack, which saw the terrorists mow down pedestrians on London Bridge before stabbing people at the nearby Borough Market.

Meanwhile, the royal family has shared their condolences saying their hearts go out to the victims, their families and friends.
