Jamie Oliver shows you’re never too big to be teased by mum
He’s a father of five so should know what he’s doing, but Jamie Oliver’s mum clearly sometimes thinks otherwise.
The celebrity chef posted a picture on Instagram of his youngest son, River Rocket, laying on a tiled floor and grinning widely.
Oliver captioned the picture with a note on the seven-month-old’s lovely morning smile.
The chef’s mum, Sally Oliver, was quick to agree that River was an adorable baby, but she also had some joking advice for her own son.
“He looks so like you as a baby! But please get him off that hard floor now!” she wrote on the Instagram post.
That prompted a torrent of comments on whether Oliver was right or wrong to put the baby on a tiled floor, until Mrs Oliver advised Jamie’s fans to calm down.
Replying to one particularly strident commenter, she said “You’re quite right, the floor is very clean and River is very well cared for, I was only teasing Jamie”.
Oliver, who also has three daughters, Poppy, Daisy and Petal, and an older son, Buddy, with his wife Jules, may have a multi-million-dollar restaurant and book empire, he’s clearly not above a bit of ribbing from his mum.
