Many will remember model Christie Brinkley as a blossoming beauty on the covers of Sports Illustrated, but lately she’s been planting a new notion in people’s minds.

Brinkley has taken to showing off her beautiful garden on Instagram, treating her 316,000 followers to glimpses of her sprawling 20-acre estate.

In a recent snapshot, Brinkley stood, beaming, next to a ute filled with organic plants purchased from Bridgehampton nursery Marders.

It’s no surprise she held the longest cosmetics contact in history. The face of CoverGirl for 25 years, Brinkley has barely aged a day.

How does she achieve such a flawless complexion? Brinkley recently told PeopleStyle she does most of her gardening in a bikini to avoid tan lines.

Located in Bridgehampton, New York, the property has been Brinkley’s home for years, and she takes obvious pride in the way it’s displayed.

The behind-the-scenes snaps frequently include glimpses of Brinkley’s two dogs, Maple Sugar Brinkley and rescue pup Chester.

Organic gardening seems to be Brinkley’s favourite pastime, and she can’t resist showing off the latest blooms in a courtyard with an Eiffel Tower sculpture at its centre.

The organic ethos has extended to the aesthetic of Brinkley’s garden as well, with sumptuous wisteria vines draped over a terrace.

Brinkley even shares a few gardening tips with her photos; she loves the look and smell of creeping phlox.

The easy-care plant is tucked into all “the nooks and crannies in my garden”, Brinkley shares in one post.

“They come back bigger and better every year!”

What do you think of Christie Brinkley’s garden? Do you like the natural look, or would you prefer something more regimented for your own home?
