Serena Williams pens letter to her unborn baby

Tennis great Serena Williams sent the world into a fit of excitement after announcing her pregnancy last week and now she has opened up even more about her unborn child, writing an open letter on social media.

Williams shared a photo of her belly on her Instagram page and wrote that she’s already learning from her little one.

“My Dearest Baby, You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had,” she wrote.

“You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players box next year.

“But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you…. once again today.”

Williams went on to reveal it was her partner Alexis Ohanian’s birthday and ended her not with a sweet sign off.

“On @alexisohanian bday. ? from the world’s oldest number one to the world’s youngest number one. -Your Mommy”

Serena announced she was 20 weeks pregnant last week, meaning she was already pregnant when she won the Australian Open in January.
