Police take the mickey out of NSW drivers

Two of our hard-working police officers.

The New South Wales Police Force has proved they’re not afraid to have a laugh and poke fun at the state’s drivers.

They posted a cheeky video to their Facebook page on Monday with a message that gave more than a few people a good old laugh.

Sydney-siders are notorious for dodging in and out of lanes at a moments notice and their fast-paced antics cause numerous accidents every day.

While police usually take this kind of thing very seriously, they decided to have a little fun this week and wrote: “#Breaking First look at a blinker being used in NSW,” along with a video of a car blinker ticking on and off.

The post has since been shared thousands of times with everyone appreciating the lighthearted joke.

A total of 105 people have been killed on the roads in NSW this year. While this number is down from last year, police are still urging drivers to take care and drive with caution.

While the government usually commissions graphic advertisements to shock people into driving with care, it appears this more lighthearted approach is certainly helping spread the message.

Give it a share and help police keep our roads safe across the entire country!

Would you consider yourself a careful driver? Did their video give you a giggle?
