So Book Week is over for another year!
Just before this week is consigned to the ether, never to be recalled, I want to say a huge and grateful thank you to our contributors:
- Don Wallace, author of The French House for his wonderful, original blog, written exclusively for our Starts at Sixty Community, Are Books the New Yoga
- David Michie, author of among many other titles The Dalai Lama’s Cat, for his thought provoking blog Is Mindfulness Better than Chocolate
- Lucy Pearson and Amanda Johnson of the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction who kindly allowed us to reprint their survey of life changing women’s fiction
- Valerie McCrae, who let us the pocket edition of her life via books, The Seven Ages of Woman – A Book Filled Life
- Penny Paxman, who delighted us with stories of items found in books over the years Treasures in Treasures
- My dear family Megan and Timothy and wonderful friends Rebekah, Marnie, Faith, Christine and Kate for your insight into children’s literature
- Vivienne Beddoe for two very different and interesting articles; Coffee Table Books, The Last Surviving of their Kind and Now where was I up to? – The Joy of Bookmarks. Vivienne has been my partner-in-crime here in the Starts at Sixty Book Club since its inception and can always be relied upon to produce blogs with an unusual slant.
- Very importantly, a huge thank you to all the Starts at Sixty Community members who took the time to read the blogs and comment; your feedback is always welcome.
