If you thought entering your 60s meant you had to tone things down in the style department, think again.

Studio 10 star Kerri-Anne Kennerley has proved once again that style is ageless, stepping out in a seriously wild outfit for a night at the theatre.

The veteran event-goer wore a cheerful off-the-shoulder floral dress as she ventured out to Sydney’s Capitol Theatre on Friday for the opening night of ‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’.

She teamed the vibrant outfit with a pair of glittery red boots and silver accessories. Wearing her hair in loose waves, Kerri-Anne looked super glamorous as she stopped to have her photo taken.

The theatre production, which is a stage musical based on the 1964 children’s novel of the same name by Roald Dahl, saw the likes of stars such as Angela Bishop, Richard Wilkins and his girlfriend Virginia Burmeister walk the purple carpet.

Angela, 51, put on a leggy display as she posed for the cameras alongside her daughter Amelia Balkie, 12. Wearing a leopard print mini dress, the Studio 10 presenter ensured all eyes were on her as she happily posed for photographs.

Although featuring full sleeves, the outfit allowed the star to show off plenty of skin. Standing tall, she completed the outfit with a stunning pair of tan-coloured heels and a matching black belt.

Elsewhere, Richard and his girlfriend Virginia Burmeister put on a stylish display at the evening event. Richard chose a smart casual look, stepping out in a pair of black pants and matching coloured shirt, complete with a red velvet suit jacket and black shoes. Richard’s appearance comes only weeks after the entertainment reporter revealed he will move away from morning show Today and take on a position with Today Extra instead.

Meanwhile, his glamorous girlfriend wowed in a black figure-hugging dress which fell just below her knees. Virginia opted for nude shoes and wore her hair down and straight to pull the outfit together.

The outing comes after Kerri-Anne recently opened up about the terror she experienced when her 97-year-old mother suffered a stroke at a family dinner last year. The presenter recalled her mother Grace’s health scare, revealing the matriarch had to be rushed to hospital in an ambulance following a stroke at a dinner held to celebrate her birthday in September.

“I knew in an instant she was having a stroke,” Kerri-Anne told Woman’s Day in December, reports the Daily Mail. “The ambulance came quickly and we went to the hospital with Mum where she was given these new miracle drugs – which saved her life and greatly improved her chances of recovery.”

Thankfully Grace – who lives with Kerri-Anne in her family home in Sydney – has made a miraculous recovery in just three months and is completing rehab at home.
