She may be battling cancer for the second time in her life, but Aussie star Olivia Newton-John was the picture of health as she walked the red carpet in Melbourne on Friday night.
Newton-John attended the ONJ Masquerade Gala in Melbourne, Australia, her first red carpet appearance since being re-diagnosed with cancer in May, and couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she posed with her husband John Easterling and other celebs.
The Gala was established by the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research (ONJ) Centre to raise awareness and fund for cancer research.
Newton-John has been a fierce campaigner for cancer research ever since she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992.
After announcing in May that her cancer had returned, this time at the base of her spine, the Gala couldn’t come at a more fitting time.
The singer and actress dressed to impress for the big night, showing off her impeccable style in a two-piece black suit, crisp white shirt, and sparkly boots.
She completed the look with plenty of accessories and a Madonna-esque black lace top, which could be seen peeking out from under her jacket.
Other celebs in attendance included Aussie singer Delta Goodrum and wildlife warrior Bindi Irwin.
Just last week, Newton-John revealed she’s been treating her cancer with a combination of western and natural medicine.
She spoke out in support of medicinal cannabis, saying “really important for pain and healing.”
