Stylish at 72: Goldie Hawn wows red carpet with loving daughter
Goldie Hawn and daughter Kate Hudson ditched their significant others on Tuesday, for a special girls night out in Hollywood.
Goldie, 72, and Kate, 38, attended the Stella McCartney fashion show with an array of other celebrities, including Stella’a father Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris, Coldplay singer Chris Martin and Christina Aguilera, just to name a few.
The fashion event, held in Los Angeles, was a celebration of style and music. For the outing, Goldie opted for a trendy skirt-and-top combo. The black shirt looked almost like a fashionable poncho of sorts and showed off her tanned arms.
The First Wives Club star completed the look with a fishnet pair of heels and a snakeskin clutch. She topped off her look with some bracelets, a gorgeous pair of hoop earrings and some flashy rings on her fingers.
Meanwhile, Kate, who is also a popular Hollywood actress, looked pretty in pink for the fashion event. She showed off her new pixie-style haircut — the result of having to shave her head for a movie role.
She wore a matching light-pink leather jacket and mini-skirt on the red carpet. The star, who many believe looks remarkably like her mother, also wore a vintage-style ruffle blouse. She topped off her look with a metallic handbag, a white pair of heels and a stunning pair of earrings.
The pair walked hand-in-hand on the red carpet and looked to be having a good ol’ laugh together throughout the night. They happily smiled for cameras and barely left each other’s side.
During the event, Kate took to Instagram to share a video of her mother and Stella McCartney partying hard in the front row during Paul’s set after the show. The pair could be seen bopping up and down to his tunes.

“Front row with… our parents,” Kate captioned the video. Goldie also reposted the clip to her own account, telling her fans, “The good old days are back! Pure joy.”
Kate also shared a photo of herself with her mother at the event, describing it as “date night”. Goldie gave birth to Kate in 1979 and has always had a particularly strong bond with her daughter. She has two other children, Wyatt Russell, 31, and Oliver Hudson, 41, both of whom are close with Goldie and her partner Kurt Russell.
