She’s known for her beaming smile and bubbly attitude on screen, but now The Block judge Shaynna Blaze has revealed she’s battling heartbreak away from the camera as she’s split from her husband of 18 years Steve Vaughan.

Sharing the announcement on Instagram, the 55-year-old TV star gave an emotional explanation for the separation from her personal trainer spouse, and was immediately hit with streams of support from her fans.

“Sometime in life, our paths change directions and now this is one of those times for me with Steve and I separating,” she wrote.

“I will not be making any further statements about this and whilst I appreciate your support I ask that you respect our right to privacy. Thank you, Shaynna.”

Leading the supportive messages was fellow judge Neale Whitaker, who shared a kissing emoji, while another fan commented: “Sending healing hugs. Wishing you nothing but the best.”

Meanwhile another added: “A beautiful new beginning is on it’s way,” and one wrote: “Big love to you, my wonderful friend.”

The former couple first met at a bar in Melbourne and got married just 11 months later. Shaynna has two children, a son, Jesse Thomas, and a daughter, Carly Anne, from her first marriage.

Just a few months ago, the star shared the secret to her happy marriage in a gushing interview with New Idea, admitting they always managed to treat each of their outings as a special date together.

“The secret is every time we go out, it actually is date night,” she told the mag. “You treat each other as your date, rather than just expecting them to always be there.

“When you catch up, you just make sure that you’re present. You make sure that you’re there with each other and always touching base.”
