Karl Stefanovic’s cheeky interview with his mum

Karl Stefanovic gets cheeky with his mum, on The Today Show.

One of the joys of being a mother is in being able to share embarrassing photos or stories about your children in front of their friends.

And that’s how it played out when Karl Stefanovic was joined by his mother on The Today show this morning, live in Ipswich, for a Mother’s Day themed show.

Mum Jenny told lots of tales about the popular television show host, including the time he got a fake ID to go into the nightclubs. “Kid’s, don’t do that,” Karl said to camera, laughing about the revelation.

Karl’s mum said he has always had a sense of humour, that sometimes went on the cusp. “What does that mean,” Karl asked.

Revealing how he always did impressions of people he met, from the doctor to his teachers, Jenny said “no-one was safe.”

Karl even played a prank on her earlier that morning, but luckily for him she thought it was a a laugh.

Sylvia Jeffreys followed up the on air interview, which also included a piece on camera with her own mother, describing them as beautiful women who made a lot of sacrifices, saying we love you mums, to which Karl replied “I don’t really even like my mum.” When he was chastised by the rest of the crew he replied, pointing out into the crowd: “No, I love her, she’s over there, she’s laughing… she’s not listening, as per usual.”

Its not the first time Jenny has shared things about Karl.
She posted this picture on her Instagram page last August to wish Karl, who she referred to as Karly, a happy 42nd birthday.

Happy birthday Karly @kstefanovic
