Christie Brinkley rocks leather miniskirt at 63
Christie Brinkley is no stranger to showing a bit of leg.
The 63-year-old model shot to fame as a covergirl for Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit editions in the ’70’s and these new pics of her, rockin’ a ’70s style leather miniskirt, show she’s still got it!
Earlier this month we showed off Christie’s new look, with a hairstyle making the blonde-haired blue-eyed stunner look younger than ever.
Once married to Billy Joel, Christie was also the face of Covergirl for years. Her website gives a number of titles; supermodel, actress, author, artist and entrepreneur, including currently being the face of a range of skincare and eyewear, amongst other business ideas.
A mother of three, Christie told Health magazine that you should live your life being kind to your body. The vegetarian said her diet was mainly fresh fruit, grains and beans but she also said exercise was a good way to kick her metabolism into high gear. “I exercise because I want to have healthy joints and be able to ski with my kids,” Christie said. “Feeling good is looking good, and that can translate to an energy you exude.”
She also said she was happy to break the rules on ageing.
“We’re told you can’t grow your hair past your shoulders or wear a bikini after a certain age. But women shouldn’t allow those barriers to stop us from doing things simply because we’ve been told that somehow we’re not as relevant as we once were. Anything I can do to help break down those restraints—like my Sports Illustrated photos—count me in.”
