Old-fashioned malt ball fudge

This delicious fudge is the ultimate indulgent treat.

This easy fudge is sure to get your taste buds going with its smooth texture and crunchy malt ball top. This fudge recipe also has the added benefit of being super easy to make. You simply combine the melted chocolate and condensed milk then stir through the malt balls. Just chuck the mixture in a baking tray and let it set in the fridge,  it’s that simple.

With its delicious melt-in-your-mouth taste this fudge is sure to bring back those childhood memories of enjoying a few pieces of fudge at the local fair.

This fudge should last you at least two weeks; although that may change depending on your willpower. It’s so hard to resist that you might find yourself sneaking a piece from the fridge more often than you would like.

Ingredients

  • 395g tin sweetened condensed milk
  • 375g dark chocolate
  • 100g Maltesers

Method

1. Grease a square slice tin and line with baking paper or foil.

2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the condensed milk and chocolate and microwave for 30 seconds and mix.

3. Repeat this process until the mixture is completely combined.

4. Stir the Maltesers into the mixture gently.

5. Pour mixture into prepared slice tin.

6. Refrigerate for 2 hours, then check to see if fudge is set.

7. When set cut the fudge into squares and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
