Never miss your favourite show again with catch up TV! Here’s how…

Have you ever been out to dinner with the family and half way through your meal realised, damn! I forgot to record the next Offspring or My Kitchen Rules! Well, now you don’t have to stress about that happening, even if you don’t have Foxtel, Austar or anything else. “Catch Up TV” means that you can watch all of your favourite TV episodes on your computer or iPad after they air.

The show doesn’t stay on your device, but you stream it from the Internet just like when you watch a video on one of our Youtube funnies. We’re lucky to have catch up TV available for the five major Australian TV channels meaning you’ll never have to miss your favourite show.

To start with, the Freeview website is a great resource because it combines all of the catch up TV on all of the channels in the one place. This is especially great if you can’t remember which channel your favourite show is on!

And, if you know exactly what show you want to watch, this is how to do it…

How to watch ABC catch up TV  
ABC catch up TV is available on the ABC iView website. It offers programs from all the ABC stations. You can only watch an episode for up to 14 days after it airs but they do have features available for older full seasons and feature length specials. To watch ABC iView, visit the ABC iView website. The navigation is easy, you can either click ‘Watch Now’ to see what’s new or popular, ‘Programs’ to look for your program in an alphabetical list, or you can use the search box in the top right-hand corner of the page to find your program.

How to watch SBS catch up TV  
To watch SBS catch up TV head to the SBS On Demand website. Search for your favourite programs by going to ‘Programs’ tab, or watch a movie by clicking the ‘Films’ tab. When you’ve found your favourite program, choose the episode from the box below the video viewer and by clicking on the episode, your show will start automatically.

How to watch Channel 7 catch up TV  
For watching Channel 7’s catch up TV, the Plus 7 website or Plus 7 app is available. You can find new and popular shows on the homepage, or click the ‘Browze A–Z’ tab to find your show by name. If you click a show on the homepage the latest episode will start to play automatically. If you click on a show from the A–Z list then you will need to choose an episode from the list on the right hand side of the page. Once you click an episode, it will begin to play automatically. If you choose to download the app, it is just as simple. Search in the bar or click on the popular feed that appears on the home screen. This will let you watch it on your iPhone or iPad.

How to watch Channel Nine catch up TV  
To watch Channel Nine catch up TV you can use Jump In on the Channel Nine/NineMSN website. Shows due to expire after 14 days and the most recently uploaded shows are all available on the homepage. You can click on the ‘Catch Up’ tab on the top left hand side of the screen and or search for your favourite shows by looking up their name in the ‘Search all programs’ bar to the top right hand side of the screen. Once you have clicked on a show look through the list to find the episode you wish to watch. Then, click the ‘Watch Now’ button beside the episode name. Your video will play automatically.

 Channel Ten catch up TV  
To watch your favourite Channel Ten shows online, head to the Ten Play website. You can either browse the videos casually or, if you sign up for an account, you can save your favourite shows into playlists to make them easier to find next time. If you are simply browsing, you can find your show by name or genre. Once you have clicked on a show, click on the ‘Episodes’ tab. Next, click the tab number relating to the season you wish to watch. Scroll through the available episodes to find the one you wish to watch, and click ‘Watch Episode’. Your video will begin to play automatically.

 

So, don’t be disappointed about missing out on your favourite shows when it is all-available from the comfort of your home just a few days later!
