From racy lace to glitter and frills: Julie Bishop’s week of fabulous outfits

Stepping out on stage in a stunning white, sleeveless frock and a pair of towering stiletto heels, fashionista Julie Bishop showed off her fabulous sense of style.

The former minister for foreign affairs looked incredible in the figure-hugging design as she delivered a speech at a conference for businesswomen at Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday.

Julie paired the beautiful frock, which tucked in at the waist before flicking out at the bottom in a mermaid style skirt, with a pair of pretty pearl earrings which brought the classy ensemble together perfectly.

However, this gorgeous look is just one in a series of fabulous outfits that the former pollie has shown off this week, as she toured the country for a series of ‘In Conversation with Julie Bishop’ events hosted by Business Chicks. And, as ever, Julie showed off her sensational style choices on social media.

Earlier in the week, Julie looked radiant in sparkles, opting for a bold gold tuxedo-style jacket with a black sequinned collar as she took to the stage in Perth. She paired this with killer black heels and accessorised with the same pearl earrings she wore today.

Meanwhile, in the South Australian capital of Adelaide the former politician sported a pretty white mini-dress which featured long, winged sleeves. Showing off her toned legs, no doubt thanks to her strict running regime, Julie stepped out in another impressive pair of heels in a nude colour.

She smiled broadly for snaps with excited fans who packed into the convention centre in hopes of gaining some insight into how best to reach their business dreams.

For the event in Melbourne, it was back to black for Julie who this time opted for a stylish black jacket which was worn over the top of a short black dress with some racy lace detailing at the top.

The beautiful pearl earrings made an appearance once again, while the politician chose to go stick to a monochrome colour scheme, sporting a pair of classy black heels.

The 62-year-old delivered a powerful speeches to rooms full of motivated women who were eager to hear from the former deputy leader of the Liberal party.

One excited attendee shared a snippet of her talk on social media with Julie encouraging females to follow their dreams and not let anyone get in their way.

“Never ever give up on your dreams because they can have a mysterious way of coming true every now and then,” she said according to the attendee. “Never let others define who you are and what you can achieve. Take risks, I’d rather take a risk and fail. Enjoy yourself, enjoy every moment of your life. Every day is the best day of your life because you’re still here.”

Julie also took to social media herself throughout the week sharing snaps of her gorgeous outfits with fans who were clearly quite impressed with her sense of fashion and career to date.

“Omg those outfits,” one person commented on Instagram. “You are superhuman.”

“Gorgeous. The gold tuxedo was made for you,” another added.

While a third said: “You were awe inspiring in Melbourne this morning. I could have listened all day as you spoke off the cuff for over an hour. Incredible. And so funny. I am going to try harder. Thank you for leading the way.”
