Catherine, Princess of Wales, is officially getting into the royal festive spirit ahead of her special Christmas concert.

Standing in front of a twinkling Christmas tree, surrounded by gifts, the 40-year-old mother of three looks as elegant as ever as she posed for a promo shot for her upcoming Christmas carol service Royal Carols: Together at Christmas, an event which the royal is hosting for the second year in a row.

In the photo, the Princess wears a gorgeous Needle & Thread sequinned gown that features a slightly cinched, sequinned bodice and long sheer sleeves with a red floral pattern, and short ruffles along its collar and shoulders.

Catherine kept her accessories minimal, opting to wear gold ornate earrings and her Sapphire engagement ring.

Her make-up was light and natural, with her brown locks in loose curls cascading down the front of her chest.

“Join us this Christmas Eve for a very special service at Westminster Abbey, full of festive carols and beautiful performances, as we celebrate what makes this the most wonderful time of year,” Catherine says in the promo, which is scheduled to air on Sunday night, December 15, on ITV.

The upcoming concert will see the Princess joined by her husband Prince William as well as King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.

Joining the royals are charity staff, frontline workers, and military personnel who will be recognised for their “selfless efforts” for their country, with the concert aiming to highlight their compassion, empathy and support for others.

The event will incorporate both modern and traditional elements, with the aim to “celebrate the joy that human connection can bring” and will honour the life and legacy of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The carols will be sung by the Abbey’s world-renowned choir and will also feature musical performances from special guests from across the UK.

Last year, the Princess of Wales hosted her first Christmas concert at the Abbey, choosing the theme “Together at Christmas” to celebrate those who stepped up to offer support to their communities throughout the pandemic.

Her Christmas concert was a complete success, with the highlight of the evening being a surprise performance she gave. As Kate made her very first public performance on the piano, playing For Those Who Can’t Be Here with Scottish singer Tom Walker.
