As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, British broadcaster Piers Morgan will never forgo an opportunity to take a public swipe at Meghan Markle.

Morgan’s latest tirade came during his live commentary of the Queen’s state funeral on Monday, September 19, with the controversial media personality wasting no time in tearing into the Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry as they arrived for Her Majesty’s funeral.

The fact that Prince Harry was mourning his grandmother, and Markle her grandmother-in-law, did little to soften Morgan’s vitriol as he accused the pair of “attacking the Royal Family and the monarchy”.

“She did [the Oprah interview] right after Prince Philip was taken into hospital, knowing that none of them were able to respond because none of them respond to this kind of thing,” he said.

“The last two years of the Queen’s life were constantly having to deal with these two going public attacking the Royal Family and the monarchy.

“When I see her at all these events this week, I think a lot of British people find it very hard to stomach because they think, well, you made the Queen’s life so difficult the last two years of her life.”

Seemingly not content with his original comments, Morgan doubled down in a later broadcast on Fox News where he called Markle “a lost cause” who “just wants to be rich and famous”.

Morgan has never shied away from expressing his disdain for Markle in what has become a seemingly long-running feud between the pair. Most recently Morgan labelled Markle “Princess Pinocchio” for claims she made during the debut of her podcast Archetypes.

During her debut episode titled The Misconception of Ambition, Markle spoke with retired tennis legend Serena Williams regarding ambition and the double standards placed on women who decide to chase their dream.

Speaking candidly, Markle explained how growing up in an all-girls Catholic school in Los Angeles taught her to feel empowered, saying the “feminist ideology” is incorporated into every aspect of her life.

“This message to me and my classmates was clear: our futures as young women were limitless. Ambition? That was the whole point!” she said.

“So I don’t remember ever personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word ‘ambitious’ until I started dating my now-husband.

“And apparently ambition is a terrible, terrible thing, for a woman, that is according to some. So, since I’ve felt the negativity behind it, it’s really hard to un-feel it.”

Her comments on ambition apparently didn’t sit well with the former Good Morning Britain host as shortly after the episode hit the airwaves Morgan took to Twitter to slam Markle.

Morgan’s long-standing feud with Markle began when he launched a scathing tirade against her following Harry and Meghan’s tell-interview with Oprah Winfrey. During a now infamous Good Morning Britain segment Morgan got into a heated exchange with his co-host after claiming he “didn’t believe a word” of Meghan’s explosive claims.
