The Danish royal, pictured here in Hamburg in 2015, has stepped out at a flower show.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has put on a stunning display at a flower festival in Denmark, showing off her elegant style once again.

Mary attended the opening of the Odense Flower Festival in Denmark on Thursday (local time) and greeted dozens of avid royal watchers and festival goers as she toured the grounds.

While she’s often pictured in designer ballgowns for glitzy royal events, she kept it simple for her day out with a lovely floral-print dress, which she paired with a simple beige hat and white shoes.

Mary was accompanied by Odense mayor Peter Rhabaek, who stayed close by her side and even held an umbrella over her to shield her from a spot of rain.

Mary, her husband Crown Prince Frederik and their four children took a sailing trip off the coast of Denmark, before stopping to visit some of the coastal towns in the region.

The children returned to school on Wednesday (local time) with the couple’s twins Vincent and Josephine attending their first day of school at the Tranegård School in Hellerup.

While the twins mostly put on a brave face, it appeared the prospect of leaving his parents for the day was too much for young Vincent who shed a tear as the family posed for photographers outside the school grounds.

The couple’s other children, Prince Christian, 11, and Princess Isabella, 10 both attend a public school close to the family’s home in Copenhagen.
