It’s no secret Princess Mary, 48, knows a thing or two about fashion, and the royal’s latest outfit didn’t disappoint as she stepped out in a stunning blue dress on Saturday.

The mother-of-four attended a memorial service for fallen soldiers alongside her husband Prince Frederik, 52. The service was held at the fortress Kastellet in Copenhagen, Denmark, before the gathering moved to the Holmen Church in central Copenhagen.

Photos from the event were shared on the royal family’s Instagram page. For the sombre occasion, the Aussie-born royal looked effortlessly chic in the beautiful dress, which cinched in at the waist before billowing out into a full-blown skirt. She finished off the look with a black netted hat, leather gloves and matching heels, while Prince Frederik looked dapper in a military uniform.

“Fallen soldiers were today honored at Kastellet in Copenhagen, where the Crown Prince and Crown Princess laid a wreath at the Monument to Denmark’s International Efforts after 1948,” they captioned the post.

“The event at Kastellet ended with an overflight of F-16 and subsequently to the tunes of “God’s peace with our dead”. ⁣
Flag Day for Denmark’s emissaries was celebrated for the first time in 2009.”

It comes just a few days after the 48-year-old princess attended an event to mark a new partnership between the Danish World Wildlife Foundation – of which Mary is president – and VELUX. The Crown Princess was elected President for WWF in June 2020, which her father-in-law, the late Prince Henrik, established in 1972.

Mary looked sensational for the outing in a stylish navy pleated skirt, which she paired with a stunning white and blue floral blouse. The Hobart-born royal, who married into the Danish royal family in 2004, added a pop of colour to the look with a pair of vibrant purple stilettos and wore her long locks down over her shoulders.

Mary’s public outing comes after the Danish royal household shared a series of photographs of the crown princess enjoying the final days of the summer break with her family.

A total of five new photographs were released on Instagram earlier this week, which showed Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik enjoying some quality time with their children Prince Christian, 14, Princess Isabella, 13, and nine-year-old twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent.
