Princess Eugenie has shared a series of touching photos of her young son August, 1, marking quite the adorable milestone as he enjoyed an Easter egg hunt with his royal cousins.
The chocolate hunt took place on Easter Monday, April 18, as members of the royal family gathered together for a special weekend with The Queen at Windsor Castle.
Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to share pictures of the heart-warming moment, showing young August taking his very first steps towards a lone tree surrounded by daffodils. The Princess shared another photo of little August alongside her husband, Jack Brooksbank, as he encouraged his young son to walk toward Eugenie.
The Princess waited excitedly with her arms outstretched as the cute one-year-old trod cautiously into her arms.
Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were also present at the special hunt with their two young children, Sienna and Wolfie, where they were joined by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
As reported by Hello! Magazine, a former palace chef revealed the chocolate Easter eggs are hand-made by Her Majesty’s staff, with more formal designs for the adult eggs and “fun” designs for the children’s eggs. The chef also revealed the Queen’s own chocolate egg is made from dark chocolate, her favourite flavour.
Princess Eugenie shares regular social media posts of her son August, delighting fans with adorable glimpses into her family life. The Princess and her husband Jack Brooksbank were married on October 12, 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. They welcomed son August less than two years later on February 9, 2021. The couple first met during a skip trip in Verbier, Switzerland in 2010.
