In a surprising turn of events, Prince Harry has emerged as the new darling of the US public, surpassing his elder brother, Prince William, in popularity, according to recent polling data.

The recent polling, conducted by YouGov, revealed a remarkable shift in public sentiment toward the royal siblings. Previously regarded as the more popular of the pair, Prince William now finds himself playing second fiddle to his younger brother.

According to the recent US poll conducted during the second quarter of 2023, an impressive 48 per cent of respondents expressed a preference for Prince Harry, while 24 per cent held unfavorable views, resulting in a notable approval rating of +24.

In contrast, Prince William garnered favour from 43 per cent of the participants, with 21 per cent expressing disapproval, leading to a commendable approval rating of +22, slightly below that of his younger brother.

Notably, it comes as little surprise that the Princess of Wales emerged as the most beloved royal in the US, enjoying the support of 46 percent of respondents, while only 11 percent held unfavourable views, ultimately securing a remarkable approval rating of +35.

The latest polling comes as speculation mounts that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are considering a new approach to their dealings with the Royal Family.

The couple, who have been outspoken about their issues within the monarchy, are now rumoured to be considering putting an end to their criticism.

Since stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family in early 2020, Harry and Meghan have been increasingly vocal about their experiences and challenges with The Firm.

Their candid interviews and public statements have not only sparked intense debates but have also strained their relationship with the Windsor clan.

However, recent murmurs suggest that the Sussexes might be ready to take a more neutral stance.

According to The Times journalist Valentine Low, the former royal couple are finally ready to put their grievances aside and move forward.

“I think Harry and Meghan do want to move on,” Low told Good Morning Britain.

“I’ve spoken to their people who, basically, in terms of accusations against the royal family, they say, ‘we’re done, we’ve done that’.

“It’s not that there won’t be any shots because there might be shots but I don’t think that there will be a concerted thing like a book or a program or a big interview. They’ve learned, Meghan’s not stupid.

“She knows you’ve got to do something positive now, you can’t carry on harking on that same negative message.”
