Controversial British broadcaster Piers Morgan has criticised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex once again after it was announced the former Royals are preparing to make a return to the UK.

As revealed by Page Six, Harry and Meghan will be meeting with charities in September, attending the 2022 One Young World summit in Manchester, the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany, and the 2022 WellChild Awards in London.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September,” a spokesperson for the couple said.

Morgan, who is widely known for his harsh criticism of the couple, took the announcement as another opportunity to shame the Prince and his wife, suggesting their appearances at the upcoming events has nothing to do with charity.

Fans of the royal couple were swift to turn on Morgan for his comment.

It seems as though the former royal duo can’t do anything without attracting the ire of Morgan, with the British journalist recently slamming the Prince for his “terrible” acting performance in a  New Zealand travel skit for Travelyst, a global initiative led by Harry.

During a recent interview on Sky News Australia on May 10, Morgan called Harry out for his perceived hypocrisy in choosing to “fly around on private jets whilst being a fierce environmental advocate”.

“This is not acting,” Morgan declared, clearly unimpressed by The Prince’s newest venture.

“Yep, that’s ‘privacy shy Prince Harry’ on TV again making his acting debut in a ridiculous NZ advert for his eco travel non profit.”

Morgan went on to take aim at Harry’s “preaching” of environmental reform despite seeming to contradict himself through the regular use of private jets as a means of transportation.

“Harry clearly is not just a terrible actor, he’s also a terrible hypocrite. A guy who constantly preaches about the environment but uses private jets like I use black cabs,” Morgan said.
