Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent trip to Nigeria has dominated headlines lately with every aspect of their tour scrutinised by royal experts and commentators.

With the tour now concluded and the couple moving on to their next endeavour, one might expect Harry and Meghan to stay out of the spotlight for a while.

However, Harry’s remarks about planning similar visits in the future have sparked outrage, with one royal commentator calling it a “terrible snub” to the Royal Family.

“It is hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change,” Harry said during the tour.

“Whether it’s the Archewell Foundation, Invictus or any of our other causes, there will always be reasons to meet the people at the heart of our work.”

The implication did not sit well with royal biographer Angela Levin who slammed Harry’s choice of words during a recent appearance on GBN America.

“I think it’s really cruel and awful,” Levin explained.

“He wants to say that he’s okay, he’s fine. He knows how to do these things. And the old fashioned Royal Family can’t.

“I think he could be a lot of damage, bring a lot of damage to the Royals.”

While Prince Harry is met with criticism for his actions, Meghan has not been spared from the backlash with royal commentator Ingrid Seward accusing the 42 year old of making “everything about her” during the Nigeria visit, particularly as Harry was there to promote the Invictus Games.

“This was Harry’s show. This was for the Invictus Games. Nigeria is the first African country to join the Invictus Games,’ Seward told GB News.

“And it was Harry’s show. And yet, Meghan seems to take over.

“She has a big fan base there, but I just thought it was a shame.

“Harry always seems to be slightly pushed into the background unless he’s doing something sporty, like playing basketball or playing polo.”
