It seems there’s no slowing down iconic Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes.

The Working Class Man hitmaker has faced a tough run with his health lately. Most recently, Barnes shocked fans by revealing he had been admitted to the hospital after a “twinge” in his hip became “unbearable”, requiring a medical procedure.

However, any concerns for his well-being were quickly put to rest after Barnes shared several updates, showcasing his remarkable resilience. In his latest message to fans, the 68-year-old reassured everyone that “everything is on track.”

“I’ve had what they call a PICC line in my arm delivering antibiotics from a portable bottle 24/7 for 6 weeks,” he explained.

“It’s meant that I could leave hospital and continue most of my recovery at home. It’s been restricting and liberating at the same time. This part of my recovery is now over and with the help of Drs, nurses, physiotherapists, family, friends, you guys and my Jane everything is on track.

“Rehearsing with @coldchiselofficial this week has topped things off. I can even get back behind the wheel. Aah! FREEDOM.”

Fans were excited to hear the good news about Barnes’ progress.

“Awesome news Jimmy!” one wrote.

“Positive news that the PICC is gone! Looking really well. Well done Jimmy on making another wonderful recovery under the wonderful care of our Medical and Nursing teams and your physios and of course your beautiful family. Keep on keeping strong!”

“Yeehaa! Time to Rock bro so happy for you back where you belong,” commented another.

“Jimmy that is great news, so glad your recovery is on track.”

Barnes’ speedy recovery should come as no surprise to fans after he bounced back quickly following a bout of bacterial pneumonia that saw him undergo open-heart surgery late last year after the infection spread.

Much like he has recently, Barnes swiftly overcame any concerns, making significant strides in his recovery and sharing uplifting updates.

He eventually made a triumphant return to the stage to deliver a stellar performance at Bluesfest earlier this year.

Barnes kicked off his set with the classic hit Working Class Man, declaring to the crowd, “It’s good to be here. It’s good to be f***ing anywhere.”

Joined by fellow Bluesfest performers and some surprise guests, Barnes delivered an electrifying performance that left the crowd in awe. Guitar virtuoso Tommy Emmanuel and vocalist Josh Teskey were among those who joined Barnes on stage, adding to the spectacle.
