Olivia Newton-John’s daughter reveals the final promise she made to her late mum
As Olivia Newton-John’s family attempt to come to terms with the star’s passing, her daughter has opened up about a promise she made to her late mother.
Newton-John passed away following a long battle with cancer on August 8, 2022.
The Grease star died peacefully surrounded by her family at her Southern California ranch, according to her husband who announced her passing via social media at the time.

Following the moving state memorial in which fans, friends, and family bid farewell to the Grease star, her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, has revealed the final promise she made to her mother who she described as “a healer”.
Lattanzi promised her mother that she “would soar, and fly, and be happy” while carrying on her legacy through the late entertainer’s annual Walk for Wellness.
“That was my promise to my mom,” Lattanzi said during a recent interview with TODAY.
Lattanzi also revealed that she will use her song Pheonix to draw inspiration moving forward, a song that was one of her mother’s favourites.
“So that song is for my mom. And it’s also for anyone who needs to be uplifted, you know? We’re all capable of incredible things.
“My mom’s a reminder of that, of just what we can manifest, of how many people we can help with this incredible light that we all have inside of us.
“My mom is a pioneer, a rebel in a good way. A healer.
“Knowing that my mom was a healer for so many people is incredibly inspiring, and it is my mission to carry on her legacy of love and light, and giving and caring for all creatures, great and small.”
In a recent interview with Sunrise, Newton-John’s family reflected on the “spectacular” state memorial service that was held for the late entertainer while sharing their feelings from the day.
The state memorial was held at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Sunday, February 26 to honour and bid a final farewell to one of the world’s “greatest talents”.
In addition to her family, a number of high-profile figures from near and far delivered a number of heartfelt tributes on the day.

Following the moving ceremony, Newton-John’s family spoke of the “warmth and love” that was felt on the day.
Lattanzi, revealed that as she took the stage to deliver her moving speech she could “really feel mum’s spirit there and the love”.
“I think the love carried us both through – it was difficult to get up there,” Lattanzi said.
“It’s a privilege to stand up and shout to the mountaintops how proud you are of your mother and how much you love her.
“It was just the love that lifted me up there and then mum – I felt – came into my body and carried me through.”
Although Lattanzi revealed that she feels as though her mother is with her every day, she said she felt her mother’s presence with her “especially at that moment”.
