Helen Mirren rocks bum-length platinum blonde locks at Cannes red carpet
Dame Helen Mirren has given fans quite the iconic moment to remember after she arrived at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival looking undeniably exquisite with head-to-toe platinum radiance.
Mirren stepped out onto the red carpet in a show-stopping, long-sleeved bedazzled silver gown paired with pointed black stilettos, subtle drop earrings, and of most note, an outstanding mane of platinum blonde hair.

As if the famed actress hadn’t already given fans enough to go crazy over, Mirren goes and gives onlookers the hair toss of all hair tosses as she confidently debuted her ultra sexy new look for the special event.
The bold new hairstyle was curated by Stephanie Lancien, L’Oréal Paris global hair artist and expert, who used her ultra impressive skill to ensure Mirren looked nothing other than radiant.
Mirren and good friend, actress Andie MacDowell were pictured sharing a sweet moment together as the two twirled each other around on the red carpet as paparazzi watched on, cameras clicking as they practically drooled over the iconic exchange.

Professional hairstylist and creative director at Evo hair, Tom Smith, took to social media to praise Mirren’s unexpected new look, describing the actress as “so smart and bold” for taking on the “challenge”.
“I think this might be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. I love challenging age stereotypes and I just think that [Mirren] is so smart and so bold for doing something so current, so out there, and so unexpected,” Mirren said.

Smith went on to describe the “statement” new hairstyle, revealing the ultra-long platinum look was all the rage right now.
“That extreme length is absolutely a trend this summer,” Smith said.
“I’ve been talking a lot about Rapunzel lengths and super-bright platinum. This of course is that white gray, creamy beautiful color. Some of it’s her natural color, and yeah, there’s a lot of extensions in there, but wow, what a statement. She looks amazing.”
It isn’t the first time Mirren has opted for the all platinum look, after taking to Instagram in November last year to share a stunning photo of herself captured by famous photographer, German Larkin.
Mirren captioned the post, “Reflections on a runway. another memorable moment in a few days that were full of them…photographed by @germanlarkin,” seemingly giving fans a sneak peak of what was to come.
