After a two-month-long summer break, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge has finally stepped out for her first official royal engagement.

There’s been speculation surrounding her whereabouts for the past couple of weeks, with royal fans going as far as to assume that she may be pregnant with another bundle of joy.

However, she’s now been spotted visiting the Royal Airforce Base (RAF) in Oxfordshire on September 16. The Duchess of Cambridge met a few members of the RAF who had the duty of rescuing thousands of people from Afghanistan last month.

Catherine was last seen out in public on July 11, when she attended the Euro 2020 soccer final in Wimbledon, with her husband Prince William and son Prince George. In fact, her 66-day absence from the public eye is her longest one yet. Before her most recent spotting, a photo of Catherine was posted to social media on August 6, only for fans to find out the photo was actually taken back in January 2020.

Even though she spends most of her time at events with her family, her most recent trip to RAF was done alone, as she met with individuals involved in evacuating UK civilians from Afghanistan.

The duchess also spent time with a number of volunteers involved in supporting the evacuees upon their arrival in the UK.

And there’s never an appearance where she doesn’t look the part. Catherine stepped out looking fabulous and ready for fall in navy wide-legged trousers and a neutral blazer over a white blouse.

Her absence from the public eye also saw the duchess fly to France to celebrate, as her younger brother, James Middleton got married on September 13. French Mayor, François Arizzi officiated the wedding and told a local publication, Var Matin, that she wore a more casual outfit to the wedding, as she didn’t want to ‘steal the show’.

“Prince William did not have any formal attire, but wore a beige and off-white suit. The princess had a long dress of a very light green colour,” Arizzi told the Var Matin.

As the wedding was organised with ‘utmost discretion’, there currently aren’t any photos on display. But, I’m sure we can all visualise how stunning she would have looked in light green.
