The Duchess of Cambridge is currently on a three-day tour of Ireland with husband Prince William, marking the royal couple’s first official visit to the country.

Catherine and William are carrying out a busy schedule of activities during their short time in the country, and they wasted no time on Wednesday as they carried out no less than five different engagements in one day.

For their first pitstop, the duke and duchess visited Savannah House which provides a safe space for vulnerable young people and families and is run by social justice charity Extern. The couple got their hands dirty as they helped out with cooking in the kitchen and Catherine even got stuck into a game of table tennis.

The duchess dressed casually for the morning’s activities, opting for a pair of black skinny jeans and suede chunky-heeled boots, which she teamed with a button-up black and white polka dot blouse and a stylish cream double-breasted coat.

On Wednesday morning the couple also visited Jigsaw, which is a free mental health support service, where they spoke with parents, carers and teachers about the impact of Jigsaw’s services within their communities.

Later in the day the couple had a quick change of outfit before heading to County Meath to visit Teagasc Research Farm where they learned about the farm’s pioneering research to promote sustainable farming, before speaking to farmers who have implemented the research into their own practices. They also joined a group of local schoolchildren for an educational session on the environment, nutrition and food production.

Catherine and William opted for more practical clothing for their farm visit, with Kate pulling on her trusty waxed Barbour jacket, which she has been photographed wearing on a number of occasions, along with her trusty pair of Penelope Chilvers brown knee-length leather boots.

Next the duke and duchess, who regularly talk about their love of the outdoors, enjoyed a cliffside walk on Howth Cliff. Sweet photographs emerged of the couple as they enjoyed some alone time, which is rare during a royal tour. Whilst there, they also met with representatives from the Marine Institute to talk about the work they do across Ireland.

To cap off their second day in Ireland, the duke and duchess attended a reception held by Irish Tanaiste – which means deputy prime minister – Simon Coveney on Wednesday evening.

Catherine stuck with polka dots for the outing as she stepped out in a super chic tea dress which featured a ruffled neckline, black cuffs and black buttons down the front. The sophisticated bright pink dress complimented the duchess perfectly, and she completed the classy look with a pair of black stilettos and a small clutch bag.

On Tuesday, Catherine paid tribute to the Emerald Isle as she touched down in Dublin in an all-green ensemble. Catherine opted for a stunning printed dress, which echoed the style of the 1980s with its puff sleeves, funnel neckline and pleated front.

She paired the eye-catching frock with a dark green double-breasted coat and a matching pair of suede stilettos. While the mother-of-three accessorised the outfit with a bright green LK Bennett clutch bag, an oversized headband – which has become her signature look – and a pair of dazzling diamond stud earrings.

The 38-year-old also debuted a brand new hairstyle, with her hair appearing much shorter than it did last week when she carried out a sports-themed engagement at London Stadium in support of charity SportsAid.

After landing at Dublin Airport, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had tea with the President of Ireland and his wife Mrs Higgins, along with their Bernese Mountain Dog Bród. Later in the day the royal couple laid a wreath at the Garden of Remembrance, before metting Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, and his partner Matthew Barrett, at Dublin’s Government Buildings.

The couple finished day one of the tour with a trip to the Guinness Storehouse where they sipped on pints of the black stuff at the brewery’s Gravity Bar.

According to a statement released on the official Kensington Royal Instagram account, William and Catherine will also visit County Meath, County Kildare and Galway, and spend time with people working in the creative arts, business and charity sectors, before heading back to the UK on Thursday.
