A tiny but dignified old lady was among a group looking at an art exhibit in a newly opened gallery. Suddenly one contemporary painting caught her eye.
“What on earth is that?” she inquired of the artist standing nearby.
He smiled condescendingly. “That, my dear lady, is supposed to be a mother and her child.”
“Well, then,” snapped the little old lady. “Why isn’t it?”
A young mother was standing outside a shopping centre holding her six-month-old baby and her sister’s three-month-old baby.
Two elderly women approached the mother. “Are they twins?” one asked.
“No, they’re three months apart.”
“My! You sure had them close together.”
A man was standing behind an older couple at the ATM. He could see the man struggling with the buttons before he turned around and said something to his wife.
All of a sudden the wife pushed the husband over. Shocked, the man rushed forward.
“What did you do that for?” he asked the wife while helping the man up.
The wife shrugged and said: “He asked me to help him check his balance!”
