Princess Mary is often spotted out and about representing Denmark with her husband Prince Frederik by her side, however, it’s not common for the couple to share photos of their four beautiful children.
So, this week when the Australian-born princess took to social media with a new snap of her youngest children, fans were delighted. Mary posted a photo of her twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, and it seems they are taking after their father – at least with his interests.
In the adorable photo, the 9-year-old twins could be seen smiling happily at the camera with tennis racquets in their hands, ready to take a hit and play a game together. And apparently – tennis is a much-loved hobby of their dad Frederik.

“My husband’s love of tennis is passed on to everyone,” Princess Mary captioned the photograph.
Both Josephine and Vincent were dressed in their active wear, ready for a busy session playing tennis, while they sported gorgeous smiles on their faces as they prepared to take to the court.
Mary, 48, also shared a short video of the twins playing tennis, and they certainly have the skills, with fans commenting how well they “covered the court” and hit the ball wherever it went.
“They cover the pitch well as left and right handed. Cute kids,” @kaffetosen wrote on the Instagram post. While @annamadsn said: “Lovely picture of two beautiful natural children.”
“Beautiful picture, cute kids,” @hrhprincesscharlotte simply wrote. And @lillamg added: “Wimbledon here we come!”
While the twins have been improving their tennis skills of late, Princess Mary and Prince Frederik are back at work representing their country following the outbreak of the coronavirus, with the couple stepping out together for the opening of exhibition ‘Queen’s Faces’ at the National History Museum in Copenhagen, in celebration of Queen Margarethe’s 80th birthday last month.
Princess Mary was the picture of elegance during the engagement, sporting a beautiful pale pink A-line dress. Mary’s dress, which nipped in at her waist, featured a high collar and puffy sleeves.
The princess finished off the look with simple nude heels, matching jewellery, a blue clutch and wore her brunette locks in soft waves with the sides softly pinned back. While Frederik looked dapper in a blue suit, and Queen Margarethe wore a beautiful floral dress for the occasion.
Many royal fans were quick to comment on Princess Mary and Queen Margrethe’s beautiful summer dresses, with one writing: “The Queen and the Crown Princess look wonderful in their summer dresses, so classic elegant [sic].” Another added: “A very beautiful dress our lovely queen is wearing.” While a third wrote: “Most beautiful and kind Queen! Love the crown prince and crown princess — glad they are all together!”
