Princess Mary was the picture of elegance during an engagement on Tuesday, sporting a beautiful pale pink A-line dress. The mother-of-four proved that simple, classic styles are still a winner as she stepped out in the elegant dress alongside her husband Crown Prince Frederik for the opening of exhibition the ‘Queen’s Faces’ at the National History Museum in Copenhagen, in celebration of Queen Margrethe’s 80th birthday.

Mary’s dress, which nipped her in at the waist, featured a high collar and puffy sleeves. The princess finished off the look with simple nude heels, matching jewellery, a blue clutch and wore her brunette locks in soft waves with the sides softly pinned back. While Prince Fredrik looked dapper in a blue suit, and Queen Margrethe wore a beautiful floral dress for the occasion.

Many royals fans were quick to comment on Princess Mary and Queen Margrethe’s beautiful summer dresses, with one writing: “The Queen and the Crown Princess look wonderful in their summer dresses, so classic elegant [sic].” Another added: “A very beautiful dress our lovely queen is wearing.” While a third wrote: “Most beautiful and kind Queen! Love the crown prince and crown princess — glad they are all together!”

It’s been a busy few days for Princess Mary who stepped out for the opening of a new nature attraction in Denmark last Saturday.

The 48-year-old beamed as she attended the event in West Jutland to celebrate the launch of Naturkraft – a facility which aims to teach people about green change and the benefits of nature play and sensory experiences. Her royal highness helped cut the string to the 50 hectare property, which in the future will be a space for families to learn about climate and sustainability.

Mary sported a casual, yet classy ensemble for the outdoor outing, wearing a blue shirt, cream blazer and black pants. Meanwhile, she swapped heels for Chanel flats and kept her brunette locks down and slightly waved. In photos shared to social media, the mother-of-four smiled and waved happily at royal fans as she entered the new space, while in another snap she joined two children in cutting a beautiful flower string to mark the attraction’s opening.
