Amal Clooney puts on vibrant display in red at Meghan’s lavish baby shower

Amal Clooney showed off her fabulous fashion sense as she stepped out in a crimson silk jumpsuit for Meghan’s star-studded baby shower in New York City on Wednesday.

Fifteen of Meghan’s pals, including several of her former Suits co-stars, are said to have planned an elaborate baby shower for the 37-year-old expectant mother, according to the Daily Mail.

And lawyer Amal looked absolutely flawless as she was seen arriving at The Mark Hotel, which reportedly costs US$75,000 a night (AU $104,750).

With her brunette locks styled in soft waves, Amal stood out in the strapless red jumpsuit which she paired with gold pumps and a stylish black jacket.

Amal joined an array of guests at the lavish baby shower, including Serena Williams, Meghan’s former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, close friend Jessica Mulroney and makeup artist Daniel Martin, who did Meghan’s stunning natural makeup on her wedding day.

Jessica, whose children were page boys and flower girls at Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry in May last year, was spotted looking chic in a turtleneck sweater, black skinny jeans and pink heels.

Elsewhere, Abigail was snapped arriving at the lavish hotel sporting a flowing multi-coloured full-length skirt matched with a black sweater and boots, to ward off the bitter UK cold.

According to HELLO!, the intimate event took place in the penthouse of the hotel, which spans two floors and has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and two powder rooms.

Meghan has been in New York for the past few days and was snapped, flanked by bodyguards, clutching her blossoming bump as she left The Park hotel in Manhattan at around 1pm on Tuesday afternoon, before making her way to the Met Breuer art museum ahead of her rumoured shower.

Dressed head to toe in black, Meghan wrapped up against the winter weather in a short-sleeved collarless coat, which she paired with a casual pair of black skinny jeans and nude stiletto heels, with a taupe handbag draped over her arm.

The royal, who is in the United States without her husband of nine-months Prince Harry, was seemingly attempting to go incognito as she donned an oversized pair of dark designer sunglasses for the unofficial outing.
