Fashion-forward or fail? Nicole debuts a VERY different look

She’s one of the most stylish women in Hollywood and, true to form, Nicole Kidman’s latest look has got everyone talking.

The Australian actress was in New York earlier this week to attend Glamour’s 2017 Women of The Year Awards.

It’s been a huge year for the Big Little Lies actress, who added another trophy to her huge collection on the evening, this time the Film Actress of the Year award.

For her outing, the star decided to make a statement in a very unusual, black ankle-length number, with a tiered skirt and corset-style bodice, with an image of a woman spreading her wings – highly appropriate, given the event – embroidered across the chest.

The Christian Dior dress was classy but also showed off enough of Nicole’s toned arms and shoulders to look a little bit sexy.

She switched her usual strawberry-blonde-toned locks for a trendy, lighter-blonde ponytail, with long pieces framing her face.

As usual, her makeup was on-point and the 51-year-old topped off her look with a stunning choker necklace, a gorgeous pair of drop earrings and a simple bangle. She also wore some rings on each hand.

She opted for simple, strappy black heels to complete her look. Overall, it was a little bit ‘barmaid in an old Western’, mixed with some gothic and cartoon touches – likely not to everyone’s taste, but certainly eye-catching and uniquely her look.

Perhaps her greatest accessory of all, though, was her beaming husband. Keith Urban was all smiles as he walked the red carpet with his wife.
