Despite his passing, their love will go on. Celine Dion has posted a heartfelt tribute to her late husband on social media on what would have been their 30th wedding anniversary.

Dion married her longtime manager, René Angélil, in 1994, and they remained together until his passing in 2016, when he died of throat cancer at age 73.

The Power of Love hitmaker shared a black-and-white photo from their wedding day on Instagram, showing Dion in her iconic white satin, beaded gown with a crystal headdress and voluminous tulle veil.

In the snap, the couple gaze lovingly into each others’ eyes and Dion has captioned the post with a heart wrenching message on behalf of herself and their sons.

“You still fill our hearts, every day. You are everything for us. We miss you so much,” she wrote.

“Happy 30th anniversary, mon amour!

“Celine xx…

“René-Charles, Eddy and Nelson.”

Fans were deeply moved by the tribute, with many expressing amazement at the Dion-Angélil love story.

“The dream team. Happy 30th Anniversary,” one fan wrote.

“You were the best team♥️ happy anniversary,” another added.

“You showed the world how love is supposed to be. I have no doubt he is looking down, today especially and is just so proud of you and the boys. Happy Anniversary.”

“The personification of true love!”

“True love will never end.”

Dion has faced tough challenges in recent years, stepping away from the stage as she battled Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS) and fought to preserve her voice.

During an NBC primetime special, Dion opened up about her battle with the neurological condition and her determination to perform once again.

When asked what the disease had taken from Dion, she remained strong and optimistic, expressing her determination to overcome the challenges and continue her musical journey.

“It didn’t take anything away from me. I’m going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will,” she explained.

“I am Céline Dion, because today my voice will be heard for the first time, not just because I have to, or because I need to. It’s because I want to and I miss it.”

Thankfully, the singing legend made a courageous comeback and performed at the 2024 Paris Olympics where wowed audiences with her live rendition of Hymne à l’amour for the opening ceremony.
