After a prolonged absence from the stage, legendary entertainer Celine Dion is rumoured to be making a highly anticipated comeback at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games.

According to reports from TMZ, Dion was spotted checking into the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris on Monday, July 22.

“Sources with direct knowledge tell us she is getting ready to take the stage Friday,” the publication reported.

“Our sources say she will be paid handsomely … $2 million!!!

“By the way, that’s for just ONE song!”

Should the rumours hold water, it will be the first time the My Heart Will Go On hitmaker has performed since 2022 when Dion shocked her fans by candidly sharing on social media that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

The news of her potential upcoming performance has not gone unnoticed, with her fans thrilled at the prospect of seeing her back on stage after such a long absence.

Dion’s rumoured return to performing comes after she recently vowed that she will return to the stage and her “voice will be heard” again.

During an NBC primetime special, Dion opened up about her battle with the neurological condition and her determination to perform once again.

When asked what the disease had taken from Dion, she remained strong and optimistic, expressing her determination to overcome the challenges and continue her musical journey.

“It didn’t take anything away from me. I’m going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will,” she explained.

“I am Céline Dion, because today my voice will be heard for the first time, not just because I have to, or because I need to. It’s because I want to and I miss it.”
