It’s a spectacle that would undoubtedly captivate audiences worldwide: a member of the Royal Family sashaying gracefully around the ballroom on Strictly Come Dancing.

While the idea seems as improbable as a fairytale, a Strictly Come Dancing star has revealed there is one member of the Royal Family who could be a dazzling shoo-in for the highly popular, televised dance contest and she seems quite keen as well.

Strictly star, Nadiya Bychkova, revealed to The Sun recently that Princess Anne, sister to King Charles III, actually seemed quite keen to be on the show when the two met at a ballet event.

“She is a Strictly fan, and she wants to go on the show – she told me,” Bychkova said.

“I think she would be good.

“There’s a lot of personality there, isn’t there?”

As the hardest working member of the British Royal Family, there is no doubt that the Princess Royal, sporting her signature regal up do and an elaborate sequinned number (just above the knees of course) would probably nail her routine on Strictly Come Dancing.

While being on a glitzy reality TV show may be beneath the royals, other members of Princess Anne’s family have had their time in the spotlight over the years.

In 2022, her son-in-law, former rugby star Mike Tindall appeared on the classic show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. Out of deference to royal protocol, Tindall reportedly asked Prince William’s blessing to appear on the show where he was able to take part in jungle challenges and show off some of his unique skills.

It wasn’t long after that Tindall went on to to launch his rugby podcast, The Good, the Bad and the Rugby.

Furthermore, his wife and Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara, made a TV appearance on Top Gear, another reality show.

She popped up in a segment called “star in a reasonably priced car”.

So the idea of being the main attraction on Strictly Come Dancing doesn’t seem completely out of the question should Princess Anne find the time in her extremely busy schedule.

Anne has been shouldering more royal responsibilities since King Charles and Princess Catherine both stepped back from their duties amidst their respective cancer battles.

According to The Royal Diary, earlier this year Princess Anne was expected to fulfill an overwhelming 55 out of 78 total duties listed between March 18 and May 10.

While her work ethic is undeniable, well-being experts at GoSmokeFree voiced their concerns that Anne may have be over extending herself.

“While Her Royal Highness is well-known for being the most hard-working royal, we are deeply concerned for her wellbeing and worry Princess Anne may be on the brink of burnout,” experts said.

“While we are confident HRH serves her country tirelessly with unmatched dedication, we urge other royals to get involved to balance the workload.”

Undeterred, the Princess continued going about her duties in her usual forthright and practical manner but will now happily enjoy some reprieve since King Charles recently returned to the public stage.

In a commendable, if not jovial, display of resilience, King Charles made his first public appearance since his shock cancer diagnosis during a visit to the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre.

The Monarch reportedly did his rounds meeting with patients and specialists alike.

Despite the gravity of his situation, he exuded warmth and optimism throughout the visit. His cheerful demeanour and friendly waves to well-wishers gathered outside the hospital underscored his unwavering commitment to serving his people.
