Singing legend Celine Dion thanks fans for their support in heartwarming new year’s message

It was a big year for superstar Celine Dion.

Despite her ongoing health battle with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), the Canadian songstress returned to the stage at the Paris Olympics and now has taken to social media to thank her millions of fans for their “unwavering support” as she looks forward to the new year.

Taking to Instagram, the 56-year-old icon uploaded a picture of herself in a side profile, hands held together in an almost prayer-like pose where she wrote a heartfelt message to her fans, explaining how they inspired her.

“As we wrap up another year together, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support,” she wrote.

“Your love and energy inspire me every day. I wish you all a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished moments with loved ones.

“Here’s to endless possibilities in the coming year. Wishing you a safe holiday and a fabulous New Year!”

Many fans were moved by Dion’s words and wrote of their joy at her triumphant return to the stage for the Olympic opening ceremony in July 2024.

“Céline’s incredible comeback on the Eiffel Tower for a sparkling performance will forever remain my most beautiful memory of 2024,” one wrote.

“We love you,” another added.

“THANK YOU. Those two words do not even come close to capturing my feelings towards your music over these past 20+ years. Those two words do NO justice. You are incredible,” wrote another.

“Forever the best for you as well. You will always be the Queen of Music to me! You are truly one of a kind and loved by so many. Stay strong and know, your fans (family) will always support you!”

Dion made her triumphant return to the stage last year with her “breathtaking” performance at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, much to the excitement of her loving fans.

Beneath the Olympic rings adorning the Eiffel Tower, Dion demonstrated her vocal prowess with Edith Piaf’s Hymn to Love. Her powerful vocals soared, marking a remarkable comeback after a career-threatening diagnosis.

The crowd erupted in applause, their admiration palpable as the Eiffel Tower began to sparkle in celebration.

Dion’s performance was particularly poignant, given that she had previously cancelled her world tour due to a diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome.

Following her stellar performance, Dion took to social media to express her gratitude and excitement for being part of such a monumental event.
