In the realm of royalty, where every action is scrutinised and every role carries weight, Princess Anne emerges as a figure of quiet but formidable dedication.
As speculation swirls regarding her impact and position within the Monarchy, royal observer Kinsey Schofield has sparked debate after suggesting that Princess Anne might warrant a higher royal title.
During a segment on GB News, Schofield and host Mark Dolan pondered whether Princess Anne’s exceptional commitment should be acknowledged with a more prestigious designation.
“Do you think she deserves some kind of upgrade? Could she have a new title such as, I don’t know, Deputy Monarch or something?” Dolan asked.
Schofield’s response was both insightful and thought-provoking. She acknowledged Princess Anne’s extraordinary work ethic, yet emphasised her preference for staying out of the spotlight
“She absolutely could. But I think what’s so special about her is that she doesn’t like the attention,” she said.
“She wants to stay below the radar and get the job done. And that is a very admirable quality. And it lets you know that her intentions are pure, that she’s there to represent the blessing that she was born into.
“And she wants to elevate those causes that she’s working for. And that’s what she goes to sleep at night worried about the next day, what can I do to make this thing better?”
In a world where royal titles often come with expectations of privilege and pomp, Princess Anne’s approach is refreshingly humble and dedicated.
“She’s not worried about if her picture was on the front page of a paper, or what designer is going to dress her,” Schofield said.
Despite shunning the attention that comes with being a member of the Royal Family, the Princess Royal undeniably stands as the most industrious member of her family and one of the most hardworking royals globally. According to a previous report from The Telegraph, Princess Anne had attended 457 engagements in the past year.
This places her as the busiest member of her family for the third consecutive year, surpassing even King Charles, who had attended 425 engagements at the time in his new role.
The third busiest was their youngest brother, Prince Edward, with 309 engagements. In contrast, the heir apparent to the throne, Prince William, has only attended 172.
Dickie Arbiter, former press spokesperson for Queen Elizabeth, noted that Princess Anne provides invaluable support to the King.
“She just gets on with it, often carrying out multiple engagements in one day,” he told The Telegraph.
Princess Anne’s steadfast commitment to her duties is a breath of fresh air. Whether or not she ascends to a higher royal title, one thing remains abundantly clear: Princess Anne’s legacy is defined by her unwavering dedication and service to crown and country.
