The Princess of Wales was glowing as she attended her first solo engagement since gaining her new title, snuggling with a newborn baby as she carried out her Royal duties.
Kate, who’s known for her love of children, visited the Royal Surrey County Hospital’s maternity unit on Wednesday, October 5, wearing a stunning yellow dress, sleek black heels, and a matching black clutch.

Kate heard from the hospital’s maternity staff who deliver roughly 3,000 babies a year, to hear about their exemplary standard of care for mothers from pregnancy to birth.
The 40-year-old met with the maternity unit’s Jasmin Team, who specializes in women’s mental health and aims to help ease mothers through the post-partum period, and was shown around the hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit which provides optimal neonatal care.

Taking to social media, the mother-of-three said it was great to see the efforts of the hospital and meet both patients and staff alike.
“It was lovely to meet some of the new mothers and their babies who are supported by such a brilliant team at the hospital,” the post said.
Kate has dedicated the majority of her work to early childhood development and pregnancy. She is a patron of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2018 and has launched The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Learning which focuses on providing the best care from pregnancy to five years old.
Earlier this year, in May, the Prince of Wales joked about Kate being clucky at a Royal engagement shared by the couple, where William and Kate visited a primary school.
It was obvious Kate was smitten with the children.

“Can you get my wife out of here before she gets broody?” William joked.
William’s joke was a throwback to Kate’s solo venture to the University of Copenhagen in Denmark on February 22, where the Duchess met with parents and their babies.
“It makes me very broody,” Kate admitted.
“William always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds. I come home saying, ‘Let’s have another one’.”
