Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik certainly had a lot to celebrate this past weekend. The couple’s twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine turned 10 on January 8, with the family marking the occasion by releasing three new photos of the sweet duo.

The first snap in the series, which was posted to the family’s official social media account, showed the twins sitting next to each other smiling sweetly at the camera. The second photo had the young prince with his arm around his sister as they gazed sweetly at one another, while the last picture was a bit cheekier with the pair holding each other in a playful embrace and laughing at the camera.

The pictures were accompanied by a sweet statement that wished the two a very happy birthday.

⁣”The twins were born today 10 years ago at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen 26 minutes apart. Prince Vincent at 10.30 and Princess Josephine at 10.56. Their Royal Highnesses were baptized in Holmen’s Church on April 14 and were named Vincent Frederik Minik Alexander and Josephine Sophia Ivalo Mathilda.⁣”

Royal fans were quick to wish the pair a happy birthday with one writing: “Younger versions of their parents. Heartfelt congratulations to the two beautiful children.”

While another said: “Lovely new pictures of Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine on their first round birthday. Such beautiful loving children … Denmark’s most wonderful family … good luck to the beautiful twins.”

The sweet post came after the whole family appeared together for the first time since Princess Mary’s eldest son Prince Christian, 15, was diagnosed with Covid-19.

The family came together in a video that was posted at the end of December to celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent. In the video, the royal children, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, 13, and the twins, all looked happy and healthy as they stood alongside their parents to light the final candle before Christmas.

The family revealed that Prince Christian was diagnosed with the virus on December 7 after there was an outbreak at his high school. Following the announcement, the entire family self-isolated together as a precaution.
