Catherine masters casual chic in dusty-rose jacket and jeans
While we’re used to seeing Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, step out in beautiful frocks and elegant coats, the mother-of-three has proven that she can dress casually and make it just as fashionable — and photo worthy. The 39-year-old perfected the smart-casual look on Tuesday, as she stepped out in a dusty rose jacket and classic blue ‘mom’ jeans. She coordinated the outfit with a pair of white Veja sneakers, and wore her hair out in soft waves.
The duchess was visiting the Natural History Museum in London to promote the museum’s Urban Nature Project. The senior royal’s official Instagram account, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which she shares with her husband Prince William, shared a video from the outing, along with the caption: “Exploring the @Natural_History_Museum’s Urban Nature Project. Designed to inspire the next generation to care for nature, the project forms part of the museum’s work to transform their Wildlife Garden into an urban biodiversity hub.
“Today the duchess joined schoolchildren taking part in nature activities in the garden, including spider-making and an interactive story-telling exercise, before fixing an acoustic monitoring device to a cherry tree in the Wildlife Garden, which will record ambient sound to help Museum scientists to investigate patterns of bird, mammal and insect activity within the garden.”

The outing comes a day after Prince William celebrated his 39th birthday. The prince took to social media on Tuesday to express his gratitude for all the birthday love. “Thank you for all the birthday wishes and kind messages,” he wrote, alongside a photo of himself.

The royal family’s official Twitter account led birthday tributes for William by sharing several photos of the prince, some including Catherine and their children. “Wishing The Duke of Cambridge a very happy birthday today!” the post read.

Meanwhile, Clarence House, which represents William’s father Prince Charles and step-mother Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also wished the Duke of Cambridge a happy birthday. They shared an adorable photo of Will as a baby, and a pic of the prince and his step-mother sharing a humorous moment. “Wishing The Duke of Cambridge a very happy birthday today!” the post read.
