Fans gushed over the toddler as they wished him a happy birthday, with one well-wisher remembering to mention his older brother, three-year-old August.
“What a charming baby (August, too, of course) 🥰 Happy Birthday, Ernest!” wrote one.
“What a cutie, happy birthday to little Ernest and a lot of love to all your family”.
“Love you so much little man “.
“Happy birthday gorgeous boy ”
Eugenie closely guards the privacy of both her sons and is careful to obscure their faces in social media snaps. While the Princess had shared regular snaps of her older son August, she has been more guarded with sharing images of Ernest.
Named Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, the tiny royal was named after his “great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald” his mother wrote at the time of his birth.
Ernest is the youngest member of the royal family and is 13th in line for the throne. His birth pushed the Duke of Edinburgh to 14th place.
According to the Royal Family website, he is styled as Master Brooksbank and is the third grandchild of the Duke and Duchess of York.
The Princess shares her sons with husband Jack Brooksbank, who were married on October 12, 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. They welcomed their first son August less than two years later on February 9, 2021.
The couple first met during a skip trip in Verbier, Switzerland in 2010.
