It is well known Princess Catherine has an artistic side, after all she met Prince William while studying Art History at university and has gone behind the camera numerous times to take official snaps of the Wales family.
Now there is proof that the rest of her brood shares her artistic bent after the 43-year-old Princess shared four portraits drawn by her children for a new childhood development campaign.
The Shaping Up campaign aims to raise awareness of the critical importance of early childhood on later development and was launched by The Royal Foundation Centre For Early Childhood, which the Princess of Wales established in 2021.
Princess Catherine shared the pictures on her Instagram page and explained that the Shaping Us Framework helps to describe “the social and emotional skills which start to develop in early childhood.”
“These skills are key throughout our lives, shaping who we are, how we manage our thoughts and emotions, how we communicate with and relate to others, and how we explore the world around us,” she said.
“Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another, as well as being creative and, most importantly, having lots of fun together!”
It seems each of the children chose Princess Catherine as their subject but their interpretations varied as Prince Louis drew his picture with wild red strokes and Princess Charlotte used softer green, blue and purple lines to depict their mother.
The more detailed picture drawn by Prince George used strong, black lines and hinted at a possible future talent for sketch drawing.
Meanwhile, their mother used soft, charcoal strokes to depict what seemed to be her youngest son, Louis, with his eyes closed.

Many royal fans were moved by the heartfelt initiative and were equally impressed by the budding talents of Wales children.
“So much interpersonal connectedness can be developed in this activity! Love it Catherine, Princess of Wales,” one commented.
“These are just perfect! I love what children interpret portraits as! We could learn a thing or two from their perspective.”
“Aww this is adorable. Prince George is really talented, I would never have been able to make such an elegant portrait at 11 years old,” another commented.
“Aw this is such a cool activity to do with kids. And I absolutely love the drawings but Prince George’s is so good.. a young artist! All 3 kids are artsy just like their mummy.”
Who knows, maybe one day their drawings could end up in London’s National Portrait Gallery.
