In a candid revelation, Prince Harry has shared that the late Queen Elizabeth was a steadfast supporter in his relentless battle against the British press.

This latest claim, part of the explosive ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial, adds to a series of startling disclosures that the prince has recently made.

Harry claimed his legal battles against members of the British press were something he and his grandmother discussed at length.

“We had many conversations before she passed. This is very much something she supported,” he said.

“She knew how much this meant to me and she’s very much up there going, ‘See this through to the end’, without question.”

Later in the interview, Harry reflected on the dangers his wife faces if she returns to the UK, explaining his reluctance to bring her back.

Markle has been largely estranged from her royal in-laws since stepping away from her royal duties with Harry in 2020, meeting with the Royal Family only on rare occasions.

“Look at what has happened in the last four years to me, my wife and my family, right?” Harry explained.

“So that was a very hard decision for me to make, which is, how bad is it going to get?”

When asked if pursuing such high-profile legal battles only attracts more unwanted attention to him and his wife, Harry responded that the intense media scrutiny would exist regardless.

“There is more than enough attention on me and my wife anyway,” he said.

“There was… they pushed me too far. It got to a point where you’re damned if you do, you’re damned if you don’t.

“I don’t think there’s anybody else in the world that is better suited and placed to be able to see this through than myself.

“It’s still dangerous. And all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff, to act on what they have read.

“And whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is. And these are things that are a genuine concern for me.

“It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”
