‘I’m stupid’: Larry Emdur’s comical response to major milestone on ‘The Chase’

Larry Emdur, the beloved host of The Chase Australia, celebrated a remarkable milestone recently with his 400th episode, doing so in a wonderfully light-hearted fashion.

In an amusing Instagram post, Emdur openly admitted he was initially puzzled by a few balloons in his dressing room, only to later realise that his dedicated Chase team had planned a surprise to celebrate his impressive achievement.

“Yay!!! 400!!” he began.

“I’m stupid. I couldn’t work out what the balloons left in my changeroom meant until the smart guy from The Chase came in and helped. Thank you Chase team for surprising me on my 400th episode with cake, balloons and 2023 appropriate HR- approved hugs.”

In his post, Emdur extended a warm thanks to “Goliath” one of the show’s brainy quiz experts, for helping him decode the balloon puzzle, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the fans who tune in every night.

“Thanks Goliath for helping me solve the tricky and very complicated balloon puzzle. And thank you Australia for watching The Chase xx. Time flies when you’re having fun,” he wrote.

“Good onya Larry, congratulations, you’re doing a great job too mate,” one fan wrote.

“Congratulations love you and the show.”

“And here’s to 400 more.”

“I only watch it cos you’re on it !!…. you’re a God damn HOOT.”

Emdur recently celebrated another major milestone for The Chase, the show’s eighth anniversary.

Emdur took to social media to share his excitement about the show’s longevity. On his Instagram account, the popular television personality posted a heartfelt message along with a snapshot of himself alongside the formidable Chasers.

“Huge hugs and hi 5’s to this sexy bunch and their beautiful minds,” he wrote alongside the photo.

“The Chase Australia has just turned 8 years old and it’s an absolute honour to be the new kid on the block. Thank you Chasers, Channel 7 and the incredible production team for letting me join the party.

“Thanks everyone for watching and our yummy ratings, here’s cheers to 8 more years and 1 million more words I can’t pronounce. Missing from this calendar pic The Beast and The Governess coz we’re never all in the same place at the same time.”
