Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer weds in Italy

Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer, 30, has married her longterm boyfriend, multi-millionaire fashion mogul Michael Lewis, 62, in a luxurious ceremony in Italy. According to People, the ceremony took place at Villa Aldo Brandini in Frascati, Italy.

For the ceremony, the British fashion model wore an elaborate Victorian-inspired white lace Dolce & Gabbana gown, which featured an elegant high neck design, puff sleeves, a fitted bodice and an A-line skirt.

The luxury Italian fashion house uploaded a pic of the new bride on their page, with the caption: “A glimpse at the #AltaModa gowns created exclusively by Dolce&Gabbana for @kitty.spencer on the most important day of her life. The looks include a Victorian inspiration lace bridal gown.”

Kitty also wore a number of other handmade gowns on the big day, according to a behind-the-scenes video released Dolce & Gabbana. One of these included a strapless blue tulle gown embroidered with pink flowers.

The fashion model, who was born in the UK but raised in South Africa, is the eldest of five children and her parents are Charles Spencer, the younger brother of the Princess of Wales, and former British model Victoria Aitken.

Despite being raised overseas, she remains close to her cousins Prince William and Prince Harry and famously attended the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2018.

Her twin sisters, Eliza and Amelia, were in attendance for her big day, as well as her brothers Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp and Samuel Aitken, who walked her down the aisle, People reports. It does not appear that either Prince William or Prince Harry and their respective partners attended the nuptials.

News of Kitty’s engagement came to light in January 2020 after British tabloid The Sun claimed the multi-millionaire popped the question to model Lady Kitty shortly before Christmas. The couple are thought to have been dating since May 2018 after they were spotted out and about together in New York City. Their romance bloomed after Lady Kitty split from property mogul Niccolo Barattieri di San Pietro in 2017.
